Topbrands goes to the UK retail market with something extra special this year
Topbrands, supplier of licensed and own-brand consumer products across beauty, personal care, household, food and gifting, is returning to the UK retail stage From 1–4 February 2026, the company will be at Spring Fair in Birmingham, one of the UK’s most influential retail trade shows. This marks a key milestone, as Topbrands will present its licensed collections at Spring Fair for the first time.
“We have been at Spring Fair before, mainly with stock lots, but that was before Brexit,” explains Roos Kooiman, Account Manager at Topbrands. “Brexit made it a lot more challenging for many European companies to do business in the UK, so we stepped back for a while. But after our Sales Director visited the last edition and came back incredibly enthusiastic, we felt it was time to give it another go.”
Disney license
A key driver behind Topbrands’ return is the company’s strengthened position in licensed products for the UK market. “We recently obtained the Disney licence for the UK and Ireland,” Roos says. “We were already allowed to sell our licensed personal care, beauty and gifting products throughout mainland Europe, but not in the UK. Now that we can, it opens up a lot of new opportunities with major UK and Irish retailers. Being able to bring our appealing licensed products to this market feels like a natural next step.”
Topbrands stand
At Spring Fair, Topbrands will present a core licensed assortment featuring well-known classics such as Disney Princesses, Winnie the Pooh, Stitch and Frozen. This will be complemented by a seasonal and festive gifting collection from Topbrands’ own brand Sence.
“We’re very successful with gifting through our own brand Sence, so it’s an important part of our offer,” Roos explains. “Alongside this, we offer a surprisingly broad range spanning beauty, personal care, household and food products. With a strong focus on both gifting and licensed assortments, buyers get a complete overview of our seasonal highlights and year-round range.”
Brand-new launches
Visitors can also expect a mix of brand-new launches, including several new collections. “We’re bringing our Christmas ranges for 2026, which will be on shelves next year,” Roos explains. “We’ll also feature Toy Story, with a new movie coming out next summer, and Spider-Man, which is extremely popular in the UK. It’s actually the number one licence for boys there. We’re currently waiting for all the samples, which will arrive in January, and those will go straight to the fair.”
Perfect business opportunity
Spring Fair is not only about showcasing products, but also about building and deepening relationships. “It’s the perfect opportunity to meet buyers face to face and start building a relationship straight away,” Roos explains. “It helps both with strengthening existing partnerships and generating new business.”
‘The right mindset’
Topbrands’ return to Spring Fair underlines its ambition to further grow in the UK and Ireland market while continuing to expand internationally. “A fair like this puts everyone in the right mindset,” Roos concludes. “Buyers are there for inspiration and new opportunities, and we’re there to show that we have something for everyone, from licensed heroes and princesses to accessible everyday self-care.”
With a strong team on-site and an eye-catching stand full of colour, innovation, and seasonal inspiration, Topbrands is ready to make a renewed impact at Spring Fair 2026.
